Wrestle Mania

So the other day when we were watching my cousins kid, Christian, they decided to do some wrestling. After about 10 min Christian said "on ultimate fighter they take their shirts off to look tougher," so off came all the shirts along with BrynLee, she has to be doing anything that the boys do. Then I decided to take some pictures, so I told them to look at me and none of them did except for Braxton who usually screams and fights about pictures. You might be looking at the pictures saying what is Braxton doing with the foam light saber, well he thought it would be a lot more fun hitting people with the light saber than getting pounced on by everyone. I did have to ref a little because Christian and Kota are big into the karate thing and they would start punching and kicking a little. As all of you know this whole thing did end with kids crying, but they had fun and luckily no permanent damage was done to anyone.

Fun Outside

Today was interesting, the kids wanted to play outside so I said OK. They told me they wanted to play with Ranger so I let him out to play with them. It was all OK, for a while, then next thing you know BrynLee is trying to dig a hole in the snow like Ranger had and Braxton was chasing after the dog with the bat. At first I thought this was cute until I heard BrynLee banging on the door. Sure enough Braxton had turned on BrynLee and hit her with the bat, she was crying and telling on Braxton (which she is very good at) at the same time. I wish I would have gotten a picture of her because the bat had mud on it from the sand box and she had a big mud spot on her cheek. In true style BrynLee stopped crying almost as soon as I had acknowledged what had happened and told Braxton he was going to go to time out. She can already fake cry with the best of them.

Weird Sleepers

Yes this will probably be the most we blog all year, but at least I am doing some. Any way, if I were to take a picture of BrynLee sleeping at nap time every day this is what you would see. She sleeps just like her mom. (With her blanket / pillow over her head). I would post a picture of Candice sleeping but I'm sure that she would kill me when she found out. Then their is Braxton, when he is mad at us for putting him down for a nap he thinks that he is some how getting back at us if he sleeps on the floor.

Twins Birthday

This is the twins birthday, the big 3. They both were being so good not to open any presents before everyone got there. Once people did get there it was "go" time, they tore those presents apart and got right to the good stuff. They both got movies, p-j's, undies, and of course TOYS. They had a blast. The last pic is them after blowing out the candles, Braxton and BrynLee thought it was so cool to finally blow out their own

candles instead of having to help everyone else all year long.

The King Of The House

I had to post this pic, I find Braxton sitting like this a lot. He thinks he is the king around here. He dose so many funny little things its nice to catch some of them on camera.

Kitchen Project

So this was the kitchen project this winter. Candice had the idea of getting rid of the small cabinet next to the fridge, moving the fridge over, and putting it into the wall so the kitchen would be wider, about two and a half to three feet wider. I took the first pic after the cabinet was already pulled out, I always forget to take them before I start. Then I had to cut out some drywall where the fridge was going to go. The fun stuff was moving the light switches to the other wall. I did drill a little wide the first time and made a hole in the wall next to where they were going to go so I had to patch it. Luckily we had bought extra tile so I could break out some of the old stuff that I did 2 years ago and redo it to match the pattern that we did with the cabinet there. Last was the worst part, in the last pic you see the cabinet that we had made to put next to the fridge to bring the wood back to the other side of the kitchen, when I cut the hole for that I had to move the water lines that ran over to the sink. The cabinet had to go right over where they were. I extended the lines and pushed them to the side and put the cabinet in the wall. Only one injury during the whole process, I managed to smash Bryce's finger between the wall and the cabinet as he was helping me lift it into place. In all I think Candice had a great idea and I should have done it when she first told me she wanted to, witch was about a year and a half ago. I kept putting it off telling her it would be a long project, come to find out it only took about two days worth of work.

Ok so my kids are not the most cooperative kids when it comes to taking pictures so of course I had to bribe them. With the twins all you have to say is that you will give them chocolate and they would do just about anything, but Kota demanded a whole days worth of allowance...which it a whole quarter hee, hee, hee

BrynLee is so excited that she gets to be a "princess" for Halloween that she even let me do her hair, which at our house is usually kind of an ordeal lol...

BrynLee and Braxton are going to be a Princess and prince hence the outfits, but Dakota just had to be "Iron Man" and of course the costume is one of those spandex with fake muscles and I'm sorry but it is so dorky. so instead of having him ruin these pictures I made him put on the tux that he wore at Bret's wedding. I know its kind of mean but just picture this picture with a corny Iron Man costume in it lol... He can get those pictures on Halloween.

When I showed Steve this picture he laughed and said that it was weird. I asked him why and he said that when the kid look at it they will think its gross because they are brother and sister... I just thought it was cute, that shows the difference between men and women I guess.

Kotas first day of school

I cant believe that Dakota is Kindergarten, time goes way to fast. He continues to crack us up all the time. I swear he is 5 going on 30 lol. So far he loves it and he likes his teacher (even though I think that she is kind of crazy, but that's a long boring story so well skip it). His teacher told me that she has caught him falling asleep in class a couple of times and we think that he is just getting board. She sent a note home asking us to think about getting him tested for Alps. It kind of made me laugh a little because as a parent it is great to think that your child does well in school but in the back of mind Ill always remember that as a kid I thought that the kids in the alps class were weird or nerds lol. Its funny how things like that just automatically pop into your head.

OK I had to throw this picture in because the night before the first day of school he actually practiced this pose in front of me and the mirror,and asked if he looked cool. What a spazz lol

OK I know that whoever reads our blog is most likely laughing at me right now because I never update it and now I am writing about a trip that we took two months ago but oh well, that's me. In June we went with Betsy and Gentry to their house in Mesquite alone with two other couples that are their friends as well. We had a great time because everyone was so funny, and we spent most of the time laughing. It was relaxing and fun because both Steve's and my parents took the kids so that there were no kids (hurray!). We ended up going to Vegas and just basically walking the strip, but because of great company it was the funniest time we have had in a long time. We made new friends and got away from life for a few day (we wished it was longer lol) so what more can u ask for. Thanks Betsy and Gentry!

Ok this one is going to be short. Yesterday I wrote that Bret is engaged and he came over to our house tonight with his engagement pictures. They are so cute Im even more excited about it now. snow, snow, snow!

Well hello everyone,

Ok Im just going to come right out and say it, I am sooo sick of the snow. I havent seen steve hardly at all in the last month. To top it off I woke up this morning to a fresh 18 inches. I know Im a big baby but it took like three scoops in the same place before I even hit concrete. Ya Id say that for me I pretty much cant wait until spring.

Well now that I have vented Ill get on to something that you might be interested in. Because I havnt been doing this blig for very long (and because we never do anything exciting ha ha ) I have decided to back track a little and put some of the things that we did last year. I guess that today I will start with our vacation to Yellowstone.

Yellowstone is one of my favorite places to go. We always go on vacation at least once a year with my parents and the rest of my family. I love it because it has always been a tradition in our family and now it is a tradition with my kids to.

The kids loved it to and It was fun for them to spend more time with Bret and Bryce. They couldnt hav better uncles, and I love to see how close they are. By the way, I have to anounce that Bret is getting married! We are so excited and we love Karen. She fits in so well with our family. Its also nice that the rest of my family comes to because they help soooooo much with the kids and that makes it even more of a vacation for Steve and I.

I was suprised because the twings we realy good. If and of you have been to Yellowstone you know that it is a lot of walking and hiking to see the different sights and that ment that the twins were in a stroller a lot. I thought that they would get sick of it pretty fast but they were kind of interested in the sites, and when there wasnt anything to keep their attention the played with each other. It was kpretty cute because they kept hugging and kissing and for some reason that was so funny to them.

Well the twins are in a big fight (suprise! suprise!) so I am goin to have to stop writing.

The twins birthday

It was the twins second birthday an Nov. 30th.

BrynLee is so funny. If it is possible for some to be both a tomboy and a prissy girl, then that is her.

She love to get all dressed up with bows and dresses and she LOVES shoes, but if anyone is wrestling she will be the first one to jump in on it. She is also a little boss, it makes me laugh because she is always bossing braxton around in their own little language (and if he doesn't do what she wants she takes him down) it is pretty funny.

I call Braxton my bipolar baby because one minute he is having a great time and laughing and in a split second and for an unknown reason he will freak out in a full on kicking and hitting tantrum. I don't know what to do with him sometimes and other times I just want to kiss his face off. I know what your thinking "typical kid" and I agree but in his case it is very extreme.

Hey guys,
I know that Betsy will be happy that I finally updated our blog. Well Christmas is over and I am kind of relieved and sad at the same time. It is always crazy on and just before Christmas, with all of the party's that you go to but it is great to see everyone that you don't see very often. This year I was kind of an idiot because I bought the twins baby vsmile and I just figured that I could get Kota some games to play in it to. I let Steve's mom give them to him and he opened them on Christmas eve and lol and behold the older games wont work in the baby one. Ya I'm pretty much and idiot! Anyway when kota found out he was so sweet that it broke my heart. He got huge tears in his eyes and asked if we could email Santa and tell him that all he wanted was the big kid vsmile. How could I say no to that, he was so sweet about it, I remember how it felt when I was a kid if something I got didn't work. So kota sent a email to Santa and all it said was VTECK. (he wrote it himself). So of course Steve and I didn't know what else to do but start calling all of the stores to see if we could find one. Finally I found a Kmart clear in West valley that had one and Steve went to get it at about 9:00. Of course it was twice a much as every on else paid but hey, I guess that's what you get for being an idiot. I was cut when he opened it because he started jumping up and down and yelled " Its just what I wanted!" so that made all of the panic worth it.
The twins actually loved opening their presents to but I made the mistake of getting different presents for both of them. It turns out that the favorite present is a $5 doll stroller that I got for BrynLee. That stupid thing has caused more fights than anything else that they got. Sometimes I wonder about braxton J-K, he plays with strollers and likes me to put bows in his hair ha ha. No I'm just kidding, instead of pushing a doll around in the stroller he wanted to push his new remote control car in it. It was pretty funny.
As for Steve and I we had a nice Christmas because Steve was actually able to make it home just before Kota woke up. He had been plowing since 11:00 the night before (he went earlier than usual) an was lucky that it quit snowing. I worked out perfect but of course both of us were pretty much walking zombies because neither of us got any sleep. But that didn't matter that much because I actually felt semi ok (migraine wise).
we hope that all of our friends and family had a great Christmas and will have a fun new years eve/ day. I hope to see you all soon. Thanks for being such great friend to me and my family. You help me more than you will ever know.
